Family & Tourist visa

Australian immigration department in an effort to bring family members together have introduced family visa in Australia. This entitles partners, parents, children and other family members to migrate to this country subject to certain pre-conditions. These visas are essentially sponsored by Australian citizens, permanent residents of this country, and eligible New Zealand citizens. This visa belongs to the tourist stream which is for people travelling to Australia for a holiday, recreation or to visit family and friends and for other purposes not related to business or medical treatment. This visa stream is to visit the country. It is required that you are outside of the Australia at the time of application. It is therefore mandatory that you must apply for it only if you are outside Australia.

Parent Visa

Parent visa belongs to a category of family visa. There are many Australian family visas and parent visa is one of them. On 2 June 2014 the government introduced significant changes to the Other Family visas.Parent visa is broadly divided into two categories. One can be applied while you are in Australia, while the other visa can be applied when you are out of Australia

Parent Visa Subclass 103 The Parent Visa Subclass 103 allows parents of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia permanently.

Contributory Parent Visa (Temporary) Subclass 173 The Contributory Parent Visa (Temporary) Subclass 173 allows parents of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia temporarily. Applicants who want to stay in Australia permanently can then apply for a Contributory Parent visa (subclass 143).

Contributory Parent Visa (Permanent) Subclass 143 The Contributory Parent Visa Subclass 143 allows parents of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia permanently.

Aged Parent Visa Subclass 804 The Aged Parent Visa allows an older parent to move to Australia if more of their children live in Australia than any other country.

Child Visa

Alike Parent Visa, a Child Visa is also issued under several sub-classes. In general, the sponsorship of a child visa is necessarily to be done by a parent who is permanently settled in Australia, a citizen of this country.In case the child concerned is in Australia then he/ she could immigrate as a permanent resident, dependent child, or orphaned relative.

ELIGIBILITY

You might be eligible to apply for the TSS Visa if you have an Australian employer who is willing to sponsor you and meet the following requirements:

OCCUPATION

TSS Visa applicants must be qualified or have sufficient experience in an occupation listed on the relevant skilled occupation list. There are three lists relevant to the 482 Visa.

Short-Term Skilled Occupations List (STSOL)
Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)
Regional Occupation List (ROL)
SPONSOR

You must be nominated by a Standard Business Sponsor or a business that has applied for a Standard Business Sponsorship. Your employer must also lodge a nomination application.

EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have at least 2 years of work experience in the nominated occupation or another relevant role.

Partner Visa

This is a visa for married partners (i.e. opposite-sex spouses) and de facto partners (including those in a same-sex relationship) of Australian citizens and Australian permanent residents to enter and remain permanently in Australia.

Partner/Spouse Visa (Temporary) Subclass 820
This visa is the first step towards a permanent Partner visa (subclass 801). You will be able to work and study while you hold this visa. You will also have access to Medicare.

Partner/Spouse Visa (Permanent) Subclass 801
This visa lets the applicant live in Australia permanently. It is for people who currently hold or have applied for a temporary Partner (subclass 820) visa.

Partner/Spouse Visa (Provisional) Subclass 309
This visa allows you to remain in Australia temporarily and is the first step towards a permanent Partner visa (subclass 100). You will be able to work and study while you hold this visa. You will also have access to Medicare.

Partner/Spouse Visa (Permanent) Subclass 100
The visa lets the applicant live in Australia permanently. It is for people who hold a temporary Partner (subclass 309) visa.

ELIGIBILITY

GENERAL
• The applicant must be sponsored by an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.
• The applicant must have been in a relationship with their sponsoring spouse or de facto partner for at least 12 months.
• The applicant and sponsor must be at least 18 years of age.
• The applicant and sponsor must have proof of being in a genuine relationship
• The applicant and sponsor must remain in a relationship for two years before the permanent part of this visa is granted (Unless exempt)

AGE
There is no age limit for this visa.

HEALTH & CHARACTER
All family members must meet the health and character requirements. All applicants over 16 must provide police clearances.

GENERAL
• The applicant must be sponsored by an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.
• The applicant must have been in a relationship with their sponsoring spouse or de facto partner for at least 12 months.

Tourist Visa

An Australia Tourist Visa is a type of visa that allows individuals to visit Australia for tourism, holidays, and recreational purposes.

The visa can be granted for up to 10 years. You can enter Australia as often as you like while the visa is valid but you can only stay:

up to 3 months each time you enter
for 12 months in total in any 24-month period
Your visa grant letter will tell you how long you can stay.

You can’t stay in Australia longer by extending this visa. You must apply for another visa.

You can’t include family members in your application. A separate application must be made for each member of your family, including those listed on your passport.

You must be in the People’s Republic of China when you apply.

You must be outside Australia when we make a decision on your application.

ELIGIBILITY

You must have enough money to:

support yourself while you are in Australia
leave Australia at the end of your stay.

Be a genuine visitor

You must only intend to:

stay temporarily in Australia
obey any condition and stay period attached to your visa

Best interests of the child
We might not grant this visa if it is not in the best interests of an applicant under 18.

Have paid back your debt to the Australian Government

If you or any family members (including those who don’t apply for the visa with you) owe the Australian government money, you or they must have paid it back or arranged to pay it back.

FAMILY & TOURIST VISA

General skilled migration visa allows skilled people to work and live in Australia. It is a points-based system and the most common form of migration to Australia. It is aimed at highly employable people in occupations with skill shortages willing to migrate to Australia to improve the workforce.
